Dr. Meinen is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Illinois and Indiana and earned her doctorate from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. She completed her predoctoral APA-accredited internship at Northern Illinois University Counseling & Consultation Services, and her postdoctoral fellowship at Iowa State University Student Counseling Services. Dr. Meinen draws from a variety of evidence-based clinical approaches to individualize treatment for each client. She often draws from relational and interpersonal approaches, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

She is a generalist with experience treating a wide range of concerns, and has specialized training in healthy relationships, trauma recovery, multicultural counseling, and group psychotherapy. In addition, Dr. Meinen has extensive experience working with young adults around life transitions and a wide variety of mental health concerns. She also is experienced in helping clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship and family concerns, and occupational or educational challenges.
